A lot of people said that Yukyung’s face resembles some senior celebrities including ex-Sistar member Dasom, Shin Aeyoung, Park Ha-sun, etc. Unlike other people with a slender body figure, Yukyung is quite strong and even can eat two or three bowls of rice. Yukyung really likes rice, which she said on VLive. She also has the nickname Bab (which means rice). Yukyung really likes dried squid too, and she eats it often even in their dorms. The beautiful and princess-like Yukyung once was a little girl way before she became an idol. Yukyung may look feminine and girly, but do you know that she is the only daughter in her family? Yukyung is the second child in her family. She has two siblings which are an older brother and a younger brother. Being in the middle of the brothers may not really affect her that much. We can’t even see her as the only daughter in the family if we just see her style, unlike other stereotypes of being the only daughter among brothers. Unlike some other idols who usually come from outside the city and move to Seoul after being accepted as a trainee, Yukyung has lived in Seoul for her whole life. She was born and raised in Gangnam-gu, one of the most metropolitan parts of Seoul. As a child, Yukyung started to learn traditional Korean dancing for seven years, starting from when she was in elementary school until the first grade of high school. Yukyung was a great dancer. She joined a dance competition from Sungshin’s Women University and won first place. Yukyung was also a diligent student since elementary school. She got appointed as the class president from second grade until the sixth grade of elementary school. Yukyung also became the president of the student council in her school. The journey of Yukyung’s idol career started when she got a casting proposal from an agency in Apgujeong station in 2014. At that time, she was in the third grade of middle school. Yukyung asked for her parents’ permission first, and after that, she became a trainee of that company.
