Closing the year of 2018, Twice released the reissue album from their 6th extended play Yes or Yes entitled The Year of “Yes” on December 12th, 2018. The reissue consists of 7 tracks from the previous EP which are “Yes or Yes”, “Say You Love Me”, “LaLaLa”, “Young & Wild”, “Sunset”, “After Moon”, “BDZ (Korean ver.)”, and two additional tracks, “The Best Thing I Ever Did” as well as the Korean version of “Be As One” that was previously included in Twice’s Japanese album BDZ.
Story Behind The Year of “Yes” by Twice
Following the success of Twice’s 6th extended play titled Yes or Yes, in early December, JYP Entertainment planned to release the reissue entitled The Year of “Yes”. By adding two new tracks in the reissue, “The Best Thing I Ever Did” as the title track and “Be As One (Korean ver.)”, the reissue was planned to be released on December 12th, 2018. On the same day when JYP Entertainment announced the reissue, the group photo teaser was uploaded on Twice’s official social media accounts. JYP Entertainment released and uploaded two versions of the teaser for “The Best Thing I Ever Did” MV on their official YouTube account. The first one was (ONCE) uploaded on December 7th, 2018, and gained 1,516,529 views and 144,931 likes. While the second one was (TWICE) uploaded the next day and gained 2,074,555 views and 185,326 likes since it was first uploaded on YouTube. You can watch the teasers below!

For the title tracks of Twice’s reissue The Year of “Yes”, the song “The Best Thing I Ever Did” was written by J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul”, Park Ji-min, and Jinri (Full8loom). The music was composed by J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul”, Park Ji-min, Jinri (Full8loom), Glory Face (영광의얼굴들) (Full8loom), Sophia Pae, Lee Woo-min “collapsedone”, and Justin Reinstein. As for the other 8 tracks, they were written and composed by various artists, such as Kim Seung-soo, Choi Hyun-jun, David Amber, Andy Love, etc., as well as three members of Twice, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung.
