Outside of their amazing professional life, the members have other hobbies, just like one of us. One of those hobbies is drawing. During some events or shows they sometimes draw to fill the time.We all know that some of the members are good at drawing, like Jungkook and Jimin, but what about the others? Well then, are you curious about how well the other members can draw? Don’t worry, Channel-Korea will give you the answer. Without any further ado, let’s get into the topic for today!
Taehyung’s Drawing Skill
Taehyung is known as one of the BTS member who has an artistic side, along with the other guys in the maknae line, Jimin and Jungkook. For the last two years, Taehyung has said that he’s interested in art, but mostly in painting. At several events, Taehyung has shown off his drawing skills. Many ARMY’s have stated that his ability has improved a lot through the years.Let’s check out his some of his drawings, starting from the early days: The first picture from the left was taken in 2014, when each member (except Suga, who was sick at that time) made a drawing for New Year Eve. This is when BTS did an interview for their Japanese album in 2014. There is a segment where the members had to draw each other’s faces. At the time, Taehyung had to raw Jimin’s face. V pointed out that in his drawing, the most eye-catching feature of Jimin’s face was his lips. So what do you guys think? Did you find the similarities?? The first picture on the left is a drawing of Taehyung’s that was meant to be a lion, but instead it looks cute and more look like a puppy, right? On the second picture in, he drew J-Hope during one of ‘Rookie King’ episodes.The last picture on the right is Taehyung’s drawing from one of BTS’s Summer Packages. During ‘BTS Gayo Track’, they had to draw each member’s face on a blackboard. That time, Taehyung got a chance to draw Namjoon. Take a look at his drawing and the reaction from Namjoon himself, below: Around 2016 to 2017, Taehyung’s drawing skills were noticeably improving. In Bon Voyage season 2, Taehyung asked Jungkook’s help to improve his drawing; it also showed a sketchbook full of drawings. On their Wings Tour photobook, Taehyung drew what the word ‘Wing’ meant for him. Here is the picture and the meaning of it: Then, in 2017, when BTS did an interview in the USA, Taehyung told the interviewer that his new hobby was drawing Vincent Van Gogh’s art pieces. On one of BTS special photobooks, Taehyung drew his feelings as an idol and how he feels being a part of BTS. In the first picture, we can see him drawing a single person, which is himself, but then more member come and make their debut together with some few fans. But then, in the last picture, it shows that BTS has developed a lot and also did a concert with a larger venue and fans. In the second picture, Taehyung drew BTS during the concert, while the other picture on the right shows an ARMY sitting on a sofa, watching the concert and doing the official fanchant. Well, BTS really knows and loves ARMY a lot, right? In 2019, Taehyung uploaded two pictures on their official Twitter account, of him posing with his self-made paintings. After drawing on top of a canvas, Taehyung also started to draw on his shirt, as well. We can see it during one of the C.G.F, one of his pictures on Twitter, in the airport, and, recently, during the LY Tour concert. Taehyung also customized his pants with his own drawing, which he showed to the public while at the airport. During a Japanese magazine photoshoot and interview, Taehyung showed off his self-made drawing keychains. All of Taehyung’s art is inspired by some artist, and one them is ‘Basquiat’. Take a look at the picture of his art below: It doesn’t stop there, Taehyung also customized his phone case, as well! The black and red phone case was filled with his beautiful and unique drawings, these make ARMY around the world amazed by his creativeness and dedication for art.
BT21: Taehyung Drawing Tata
In 2017, BTS did a collaboration with Line Friends to make their own animated character. While the other BTS members make their characters looks adorable and cute, Taehyung did not follow them. Instead, he make his character look more unique, physically, and also his background stories, as well. Namjoon’s Drawing Skill
The leader of BTS has made many contribution to the group, like leading the other members and producing their music. But not only that, Namjoon also did a great job at drawing. Let’s take a look at his work, below! During their rookie days, in the first picture he draw himself. We can point out his dimples with the iconic sunglasses, also do not to forget his hairstyle. The picture in the center is about Namjoon’s ideal type of girl. We can see he wants a taller girl, and he drew her with sunglasses. The last picture is where Namjoon drew one of the members, back in ‘Rookie King’. Namjoon draw the first picture during one of the Summer Packages. He said that he loves being at the pool, relaxing and listening to Chris Brown. The second picture is in 2014, when all the BTS members did drawings for a New Year event. The last drawing is from the ‘Wings’ era. During BTS Festa 2016, Namjoon did a drawing for Taehyung’s profile. As you can see in the picture below, he drew a cute monkey in it. At a BTS Anniversary ‘Home Party’ that was held in 2017, they had to draw each other with their eyes closed. During this segment, he drew Taehyung. The first picture is from BTS Run, during the Chuseok special episode, where Namjoon drew a airplane with a hangul on the center. The second picture is where Jimin asked the leader, “Why did you draw some abs on a leaf?“.
BT21: Namjoon Drawing Koya
Namjoon himself is not that bad at drawing, and while they were making the BT21 series he decided to choose ‘Koala’ as his animal reference. Namjoon said that he wanted his character to be really cute and unique. The amazing thing is that the Line designers didn’t even make a lot of change to Koya’s appearance, which mean that they liked it, as well. So what do you think, ARMY? Does Koya grab your attention and became your ultimate bias in BT21?
