Big Star Group Profile
Big Star (Hangul: 빅스타) was a South Korean boy band under the Brave Entertainment label. The group consisted of 5 members, namely Feeldog, Ba-ram, Rae-hwan, Sung-hak, and Jude. As their first debut, BIG STAR released their first single album titled BIG START with the lead track “HOT BOY” which was released on July 12th, 2012. Then, on October 4th, 2012, Big Star released their first mini-album titled Blossom. The album contains 5 songs and the song “I Got The Feeling” as the lead track. They released their second mini-album on August 8th, 2013, titled Hang Out. Their second single titled “Standing Alone” was released in December 2013. After a year and a half of no comeback in Korea, finally, on August 28th, 2015, Big Star announced a comeback in September. They also uploaded group and individual teasers on their official social networks. So, on September 4th, 2015, their third mini-album was officially released under the title Shine A Moonlight. Unfortunately, Big Star announced that they disbanded on July 1st, 2019, through an official statement. “The exclusive contracts of Big Star’s Jude, Feeldog, and Sung-hak will end in July 2019 and regarding the contracts that will soon expire, the members are in discussion to direct their careers and future activities. After careful consideration, their decision is to end Big Star activities after 7 years together.”However, the agency is also still considering several members who still have contracts in their management, which are Ba-ram and Rae-hwan, because they were undergoing mandatory military service when the disbandment news circulated. The agency also expressed its gratitude and revealed that it would continue to provide support for Feeldog, Jude, and Sung Hak who will leave the agency.
